FAKE NEW MEXICO STATE FLAG AT LA POSTA RESTAURANT

The wife and ex-Navy owner of La Posta restaurant in Mesilla, New Mexico, are one of the sponsors of the submarine USS New Mexico.  The sub's galley (kitchen) is named after the restaurant.

In a recent article in the 9/18/15 Las Cruces Sun-News there is a short article about a flag on display in the restaurant.
Accompanying the article are two photos of two obviously different New Mexico state flags.

One photo shows crew members of the submarine holding an official version of the 1925 state flag as they stand on the Arctic icecap.  The other photo shows a state flag on display at the restaurant. In the article the owner is quoted as saying, "The flag is a welcomed addition to other items displayed from the USS New Mexico, including a scaled model."

In this Sun-News photo is the purported same flag in previous photo that is on display in the La Posta restaurant.  Note arrows pointing at the exaggerated spacing of the center rays of the officially modified sacred Zia Pueblo Sun symbol.  This is the flag that is promoting the evangelical Christian beliefs that is showing up in illegal venues like public schools and government offices.
